Elite is awarded the TrustSg Seal!
TrustSg
is a Singapore nation-wide trust mark initiative
by the
National Trust Council
to boost the electronic commerce (EC) environment
in Singapore. This is to help build confidence in
e-commerce transactions especially in the area of
privacy and security.
To acquire the
TrustSg
seal, merchants are required to comply with a
stringent code of conduct for online business
practice set by the NTC. The code covers the area
of disclosure, privacy, fulfillment, best business
practices, and protection of minors and the
elderly.
Consumers will recognize the
merchant as a trustworthy e-commerce operator when
the web site carries the
TrustSg
seal.
Together with the
TrustSg
seal, Elite joined the Global Reliability
Programme and is awarded the BusinessTrust and
ConsumerTrust seals administered by
CommerceNet Singapore Ltd
in Singapore as well.
B2B businesses that are
accredited will receive both the
TrustSg
seal and the BusinessTrust trustmark.
BusinessTrust is part of CommerceNet’s Global
Reliability Programme that aims to promote trust
and confidence in the (B2B) e-commerce spectrum,
especially in the digital environment where
companies frequently trade with new and unknown
parties, often across national borders. It is an
agreed framework currently adopted in CommerceNet
Asia including China, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong and
Taiwan.
B2C businesses that are
accredited will receive both the
TrustSg
seal and the ConsumerTrust trustmark.
ConsumerTrust is a Global Reliability Program that
aims to encourage best business practices by
merchants and to assist consumers in identifying
merchants that they can trust. When consumers
visit a store or website bearing the trustmarks,
they will know that this merchant has been audited
and meets the standards stipulated in the Code of
Practice.

project, there will be differences in terminologies and lingo. Thus, the translator needs to begin pre-translation research before the
language translation
project begins, including reading associated articles from our extensive
library, building a glossary of terminology and determining
language translation
consistency. Only with a clear understanding of the scope and requirements of the
language translation
project can the translator be allowed to complete the work which thereafter will
be submitted to a different translator for proofreading before presenting the
first draft to our clients.

Our Commitment To Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
In 2008 Elite
started its not-for-profit initiative
Speak Up! to provide free
translations to registered charities in Singapore. Our
pro
bono work assists charities in translating their written communications
into various languages, which then allow them able to use the funds they saved
to extend their charitable efforts. Our translators and staff volunteer their
time for these important translation jobs so that they can be provided
free to charities.*
